Gift Giving

The holiday season is always a scramble to find the perfect gift for the people you care about. I like to make gifts for people but this year Christmas just seemed to sneak up on me so I didn't get much crafting or creating done for homemade gifts. I did manage to bake some cookies, made a cheesecake for christmas eve dinner and made some fudge, I added something new this year called Chocolate Bark - it's awesome (recipe to follow). Here's a sample of a few homemade packages I put together.

Hope your holiday was full of fun and tasty presents. I'm going to start working on next years gifts now, well at least thinking about them.
Chocolate Cookie Bark Recipe:

Prep: 20 min. Total: 1 hour 20 min. (incl. refrigerating)
1 pkg. (8 squares) Baker's Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate
1 pkg. (6 squares) Baker's Premium White Baking Chocolate
2 Tbsp. peanut butter
10 Oreo Chocolate Sandwich Cookies

1 PLACE semi-sweet chocolate and white
chocolate in separate medium
microwaveable bowls.
2 MICROWAVE until completely melted, following
directions on package.
3 ADD peanut butter to white chocolate; stir until
well blended.
4 CRUMBLE half the cookies over chocolate in
each bowl; mix well.
5 DROP spoonfuls of the chocolate mixtures onto
wax paper-covered baking sheet, alternating
the colors of the chocolates. Cut through
chocolate mixtures several times with knife
for marble effect.
6 REFRIGERATE at least 1 hour or until firm. Break
into 14 pieces. Store in airtight container in
refrigerator.
Makes 14 servings, one piece each.
