Recently we were invited out on a friends sailboat and of course we said YES. Who could turn that down? Not us. So on a Sunday morning the gang packed up their bags and some food and set off for Lake Lanier here in Atlanta, GA. It was SO nice being on the water, I don't care if it's a lake, an ocean or even a pool it's just so relaxing to be near the water. It was a beautifully warm day and the company was great so of course we had a good time.
You can read more about Lake Lanier Island Resorts here. You can stay overnight, rent a boat yourself or even just go for the day and have a great time at the water park and from ATL it's only about 45 minutes away. Definitely a nice alternative to the beach since Atlanta we are land locked.
